Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Friday affirmed that President Francisco Sagasti's administration is leaving the government in better conditions compared to what they had found in November 2020.

Within this framework, the Cabinet chief mentioned improvements in various aspects such as the fight against COVID-19, economic reactivation, and the organization of public institutions.

In this sense, the high-ranking official thanked the more than 1.3 million public servants, especially health professionals, vaccination brigades, and all those who make public services work.

Likewise, the Prime Minister said the administration is leaving some experiences of dialogue with the citizenry, such as conferences, and they can serve for better government administration.

Bermudez also explained that —during the Transition and Emergency Government— transparency and integrity were prioritized, a clear example being the publication of the Council of Ministers' minutes,
as well as the disclosure of information about COVID-19 deaths.

In fact, the Peruvian State now relies on an integrated database, she added.

Remarks were made at the Transfer with Transparency press conference held at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
